This page used to describe our electrical outlet add-on. We've retired it: the licensed GFCI outlet install is now part of every package price, because a smart toilet without power is just a toilet.
That red test button matters. A GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter) outlet cuts power in a fraction of a second if it detects current leaking where it should not go, which is exactly the protection you want from an outlet that lives next to water. It is the same protection code requires near your kitchen sink, and it is how every one of our installs ships.
Smart toilets run heated seats, warm water, dryers, and sensors. Code requires a GFCI-protected outlet near water. Most Utah bathrooms don't have one behind the toilet, so we run it as part of the install: permitted, licensed, and done in the same visit.
